Requests must be provided in writing on an official letterhead document addressed to Depop Ltd.
As a Communications Service Provider (CSP) Depop Ltd will only provide data requested under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) or court orders signed by a judge.
When requesting user data please include as much identifying user information as possible (i.e. full name, email address, username)
What type of information does Depop provide?
The following data is held by Depop and can be provided upon official request:
- Full name
- Email address
- PayPal account email address
- Facebook and Twitter ID (if provided by user)
- Billing address (if provided by user)
- Shipping address
- Items sold and purchased
- IP address
Please note that Depop will not disclose any information regarding the content of user-to-user conversations without the relevant court order signed by a judge.
How does Depop provide data?
Requests will be answered electronically and data provided to official law enforcement email addresses only.
Please submit all Grade 1 or 2 RIPA requests/urgent court orders with the email subject URGENT. These will be handled by us with high priority. Grade 3 requests will be answered within the timeframe stated on the request form.
