How do I list a luxury item?

If you have a luxury item you want to sell on Depop, we need to ask you to follow a few simple rules to make sure that buyers are correctly informed before purchasing. Please know that all posts that do not follow the rules might be removed, and profiles that repeatedly break the rules may be permanently closed.

What is a luxury item?

We consider luxury items all popular designer items with a RRP over £100. Brands that are considered luxury include, but are not limited to: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Fendi, Moschino, Armani, Burberry, Supreme, Nike, Adidas, Rolex, Apple, Samsung, etc.

Photos

All photos must be high-quality shots that follow our Photo Guide, taken in clear light. Blurry, dark, or unclear photos and stock images are not allowed, and will be removed.

The listing must show the quality and authenticity of the item, so please make sure to include the following in your photos:

- A full photo of the item
- High-quality and clear detail of the logo and labels. If pertinent to the item, the photo must also show its size.
- High-quality and clear detail of the stitching and the material
- High-quality and clear detail of the serial number, or other applicable authenticity codes/details

On occasion, particularly in case of disputes, we need you to send us further proof of authenticity, such as proof of purchase or additional photos. You must be able to provide it, or we may decide to remove the item or rule the dispute in favour of the buyer.

Description

When you describe your items, make sure you include a detailed description of its condition, noting any faults or signs of wear and tear. One-word descriptions or unclear descriptions may result in the item being removed.

If you decide to use hashtags, they must be pertinent to the item you are selling. You also cannot associate an item to a brand if the item was not manufactured by them. For example, you cannot describe an item as 'semi-Chanel' or 'Chanel-inspired' if it was not been manufactured by Chanel.
